RuckusDev, along with its two brands, Plan A Collective and Vigilante, is looking to expand further and we are searching for a Grant Writer to join our team and assist us with securing the necessary funding for our projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Research grant opportunities to support projects and initiatives.
- Analyze funding opportunities and leverage community partners and government agencies.
- Develop and maintain processes to effectively identify and assess grant programs available.
- Prepare documentation for grant applications while collaborating with management to ensure funded projects are compliant with grant requirements.
- Coordinate with Financial Services and State/Federal agencies to ensure accounting and financial reporting meets governmental standards.
- Planning, coordinating and directing activities related to process improvements, organizational performance measurements, and other projects.
- Create tracking and reporting systems to provide information on grant application performance as well as activities for grant programs managed
- Lead the collaboration with our team to ensure programs are implemented effectively and in compliance in terms of proper data collection, accurate and timely reporting, and to ensure delivery of the required outcomes.
- Coordinate all activities involving cost allocation, from collecting and verifying data to billing departments.
- Review all grant program closeout procedures for correctness, amendments, resolutions, budgets, and year-end adjustments and carry them forward.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university is preferred, or 2 years of documented experience in grant compliance administration with a bachelor’s degree.
- Deep understanding of current government and grant budget principles, practices, accounting, and reporting procedures generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge of the functions, organization, and administration of federal, state and local governmental organizations.
- Analyzing a variety of grant problems and making sound recommendations as to their solutions and for preparing working procedures.
- Developing real-time dashboards and compliance programs for capturing and managing information and for reporting.
- Communicating effectively both orally and in writing to influence actions/behaviors by staff in other departments, agencies, and consultants.
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with co-workers, user Departments, officials, and suppliers.
- Exhibiting strong leadership skills and being able to work independently.
